Values – Depth

The gospel calls us to examine the depths of our hearts. The truth of God is inexhaustible, and his wisdom requires a lifetime of searching out. Therefore ministry must delve into the deep places. It must be engaged in the context of meaningful and natural expressions of community. It must examine the core assumptions of the culture and idols lodged within the human heart. It must delve deeply into the Scriptures, drawing out the meaning of each text according to the whole counsel found in the Bible’s storyline. It must delve deep into the lives of individuals, applying the knowledge of the word to their hearts and minds through intentional discipleship.
